I started off with just the children's display rack, but I got so many requests for the adults, I'm ordering an additional full adult display for this season.
I've been in the T-shirt business for 25 years, and when I opened up my tack shop, I knew exactly where to go for beautiful horse shirts. People just really love the Mountain’s shirts!

I am so impressed with The Mountain's new Box Program that I don’t even display The Mountain with my
other tees. This is like a completely new category. I had one customer buy 11 shirts and then
come back and buy 8 more! I’ll be putting another adult rack and a new children’s
rack in my shop in the spring.

Andy Aronson the new owner of Harbor View Gifts in Portland, Maine has been continuing to carry The Mountain just as the previous owners did. When Andy was ordering in the fall of ’05 for the next summer and saw the new Box Program, he wanted to bring the program in immediately because he was so anxious to see them in his store. What impressed him most are the unique, attractive new boxes, the space the program saves, the folding it saves…and all for the same price.
The owner of a nautical shop with very little room liked the boxed tees enough to give them a try. She ordered a couple of lighthouses to display on her slat wall. A rack was sent with her very small order. She sold most of her boxes quickly and told her Mountain sales reps in a panic “my rack is empty”. Our great sales reps have been filling it in ever since with all types of nautical themes.
Very nice letter we received from a retail customer...
Dear "The Mountain", 29 September 2006
My name is David Anderson and I am an Army Reservist currently stationed in Iraq. My tour here is getting close to being completed but I wanted to share a story with you about “my favorite t-shirt”.
The first T-shirt was my favorite "hang around the house" t-shirt, the fit was just right, the fabric was light and comfortable, but amazingly sturdy and looked great coming out of the dryer. Well, I bought this shirt at the Springfield mall just a few months before my wife got a message on her voice mail. The message was from my reserve unit (in Columbia, MO) asking for "Sgt Anderson to please call the unit". In military terms, that meant I was going somewhere and sure enough, after taking the phone from my now hysterical wife, we found out that I was on orders for Iraq. This phone call took place in May 2005 on the way to Columbia, Mo for a US Army Reserve drill that weekend. Nicki was about 4 ½ months pregnant at the time and was NOT happy, to say the least!
The time went by far too quickly, as it always does in situations like this, but one thing that I still did was wear my favorite shirt as often as possible. The reason may not make sense to men, but women swear this is true! My wife swears it had my 'scent' on it and after looking at my hurt face, swore it was a great thing. I quickly replied: Hey, I wash that shirt, take a shower everyday and use deodorant, what do you mean it has my 'scent? She laughed; her big brown eyes sparkling and told me that when I leave home, she is going to wear my shirt every night, to remind her of me. I replied simply, 'OK', but I also wanted to take it with me when I left, so I would have something comfortable and a reminder of home too. My problem was solved when we went to a drive through animal park near Springfield, MO in June 2005 with my kids (is has since closed down) and there was another of my favorite t-shirts for sale! So now my wife and I each have a “favorite” shirt. The good thing was, we both wore the same size: XL.
I left Springfield, MO on September 17th, 2005 and after some training, said goodbye to my wonderful wife and 6 week old son, Henry Thomas Anderson on November 19th. Everyone was crying that morning, as the snow fell softly and silently on the ground at the training site in Wisconsin. It was cold that morning, but underneath her jacket, Nicki was already wearing “my shirt”. That is the start of an amazing t-shirt pair.
Through all the months leading up to our eventual return, Nicki has worn my favorite shirt to bed every night. Remember Henry, our new baby boy? Well she wore that shirt when she took care of him too, so you mothers out there KNOW what that shirt endured! I had a few instances over here when I could web-cam and see them back home. It sure was great to see her in my t-shirt, sleep still in her eyes from getting up with Henry during the night. But as soon as the connection went through; she would just glow when she saw me looking at her, with the exact same shirt on! I joked with her about the shirt telling her “honey, I don’t know if that shirt is going to make it until I come home”. But so far, it has held up better than ANY shirt I have ever owned! I am getting close to coming home now; about 6 or so weeks and Nicki STILL wears my favorite t-shirt as often as she can, but the poor thing is in bad shape now! I guess I would be too if I was worn over 375 nights in a row and washed at least as many times!
Finally, a heartfelt Thank You to you and a great company that makes the best looking, most durable and definitely the most comfortable t-shirts we have ever worn! The images look great no matter what and I love the tiger, dragon, eagle and big cat shirts especially. But without further ado; may I present, “my favorite t-shirt” worn by my wife and the one I brought with me to Iraq:
David Anderson’s ‘favorite t-shirt’ worn nightly since September 19, 2005!

(Picture Taken September 28, 2006 after removing from dryer)
In contrast, here is the shirt that I took with me to Iraq. Unfortunately for me, I could not wear it “every” night due to where I was at, but when I have time off, this is the shirt I always wear!

Once again, a big THANK YOU for your support of me and my family while I am in Iraq!
Sincerely,
David F. Anderson

I am delighted with the results of the new box program. My contemporary gift shop and nursery has seen a marked increase in Mountain Tee Shirt sales because of the space-saving rack and the coloful, clever boxes. I also appreciate the protection the box provides from dust and dirt in a nursery setting. The boxes save time for my employees and myself because there is no more time spent folding shirts throughout the day! My customers instantly recognize the product as a t-shirt with the size clearly marked on the outside of the box.
Cindy Miles, owner of Bear Creek Artichokes in Tillamook , Oregon.
I noticed an increase in sales as a result of multiple purchases per customer. It’s rare for customers to purchase more than one shirt at a time but with the Box Program they often will bring two or three at a time to the register. The professional packaging draws customers immediately to the rack, which displays an array of designs in a small space. My shop, an enchanting selection of clothing and gifts has embraced The Mountains Box Program, as have my customers.

exceptional design-a must for Fantasy Lovers.... 5 stars

My family has been a fan of T-shirts made by The Mountain for several years now. We love the fact that the shirt itself is usually mottled or tye dyed and not plain, the design is actually IN the shirt and not like a stiff decal, and the shirts are soft, comfortable and get softer with every wash. I have several mountain shirts that I've worn and washed/dried well over 100 times and they look great. I've bought 40+ mountain shirts and have never had one unravel at the seams or be defective. They are built to last.
As to this particular design-I bought this design for my husband and my 10 year old-yeah we're one of those wacky families that like to wear matching shirts:) The design is beautiful and LARGE-it does cover the entire front of the shirt. The mist shrouded scene is very cool and looks like something you'd see on a Fantasy book cover or film. A must for a dragon fan!
5 stars-recommended.
beautiful shirt, March 25, 2007 5 Stars By Anne Wiebe (Austin, TX United States) My teenage daughter LOVES this shirt. It's beautifully inked, the design is not painted on but inked into the fibers of the fabric. It looks wonderful, just like it's pictured, and she is thrilled with it.

Three Wolf Moon T-Shirt, December 12, 2007
By JoAnn Reed
This product and the other two that I bought in conjunction with it were amazingly detailed. The designs on the shirt were full of vivid color painting beautiful pictures. They arrived in the mail earlier than the shipping deadline had predicted too. I will definitely shop from this store again!

Fine Quality, January 9, 2008
By Shari Weez (South Bend, IN) -
Having never ordered from this company before, I was hesitant about ordering an exact size. The quality of the shirts I ordered was superior. The colors were beautiful and they are VERY true to size. I ordered another the same day of the shipment--only smaller. I was so pleased that I ordered three.
